Corral Bluffs is located at the eastern edge of Colorado Springs, Colorado, approximately 4 miles east of Powers Blvd. Its scenic 400 ft. high bluffs contain rich archaeological and paleontological resources, endangered species and provide important wildlife habitat.
A large regional open space at Corral Bluffs would preserve land that has been designated as high priority for conservation since 1985. It would also serve the needs of the rapidly expanding population in eastern El Paso County. The first Corral Bluffs Open Space parcel of 522 acres was purchased by TOPS in 2008.
Although currently not open to the public, research on the paleo and archaeo resouces is continuing as part of the pre-master plan process. After completion of the master plan, possible aquisition of a northeast trail access, and implementation of trails and resources protection planning, the open space will be opened to the public.

Acres/Trails
522 Acres initially, but the vision is to expand that to 4,000 acres. Until the Master Plan is finished, no trail construction will occur.
Group(s) Maintaining property

Immediate Needs:|
The Corral Bluffs Alliance could use more volunteers. The group is offering guided tours and making public presentations and could use help. They are also committed to cleaning up a farmers' dump adjacent to the open space and are planning a noxious weed program.
