Volunteer Comments
Last fall I spent hours hauling logs in Cheyenne Canon Park. It was hard work and I was sore the next day, but I felt a great sense of accomplishment and bonded with the other volunteers on the project. S.D. |

North Cheyenne Park is a miniature national park with rushing mountain streams, high mountains, numerous waterfalls, picnic areas, hiking trails, rock climbing routes and two Visitor Centers.
It is 1320 acres and is owned by the City of Colorado Springs. Go to www.tfocc.org for more info.
Owing to City budget shortfalls, the Friends of Cheyenne Canon fund the vast majority of all activity in the Canon.
You can help with this on-going effort by volunteering to work at a Visitor Center, as a Park Ambassador welcoming the over 500,000 annual visitors, helping with environmental educational programs, working on trails and many, many other tasks.
And, of course, money donations also help.
Acres/Trails
North Cheyenne Canon has 56 miles of trails and 1320 acres.
