3.5 miles south of Divide on Highway 67, Mueller State Park is a short drive from Colorado Springs and a stone's throw from Woodland Park and the surrounding Teller County Communities. It is a popular destination in all the seasons--for hiking, biking, camping, snowshoeing, and sledding. (Call first in the winter to see if there is enough snow for your favorite activity).
Mueller State Park’s 55 miles of trails provide a 5,000-acre playground. Beautiful vistas await at every turn. A popular Watchable Wildlife Area, Mueller is home to abundant wildlife including elk, black bear, hawks, and mule deer.
There are 132 campsites in the park, 17 of which are open for winter camping. There are also three cabins for rent year round.
Mueller State Park welcomes pets in campgrounds, picnicking areas, two sledding areas and along the park’s roads, but not on the hiking trails or in the backcountry. Mueller is a Watchable Wildlife Area. Keeping pets off of the trails increases the chances of visitors seeing the various species of wildlife in the park. Pets must be on a leash at all times.
